Free tool · Positioning Statement Builder · five minutes One sentence everyone can repeat.
Answer seven prompts. The builder assembles your positioning statement as you type, flags the vague words every competitor uses, and scores the result.
Write in your buyer's words, not your industry's. Nothing you type leaves this page.
Your positioning statement
Then test it
The one-sentence test. Ask a colleague and a recent customer, separately, to finish: "[Company] helps [who] to [do what], unlike [the alternative], because [reason]." If their sentence matches yours, you have a position. If it doesn't, the gap is the work.
Where your position sits on price and specificity decides what you can charge. Read What is brand positioning? for the Positioning Matrix™, and how to write a positioning statement for worked examples.
Questions
What is a positioning statement?
One internal sentence that says who you serve, the frame of reference, how you differ from the alternative and why buyers should believe it. It guides decisions; it is not a tagline.
What is the positioning statement template?
For [specific buyer] who [situation or need], [brand] is the [frame of reference] that [key difference], unlike [the alternative], because [proof].
How do I know if my positioning statement is good?
Ask whether your closest competitor could sign it. If they could, it is not finished. A strong statement names a specific buyer, a real alternative and a factual proof.
Why does the builder flag words like quality and solutions?
Because every competitor in every category uses them. They carry no difference, so they give buyers, and AI assistants, nothing to remember you by.
Is my statement saved?
Only in your browser, on this device, so you can return to it. Nothing is sent to us.
