Book a Brand Clarity Call

04 · The market entrant

Your brand arrives before you do.

Entering a territory where nobody knows the name. Before your first meeting, buyers there have already seen the website, the deck and the LinkedIn page. In a new market, that is the whole of your reputation. We make sure it is legible.

The diagnosis

At home, your reputation does the selling. Abroad, it doesn't exist.

In your home market, buyers fill the gaps in your brand with what they already know: the founder, the history, the referrals. In a new market there is nothing to fill the gaps with.

A position that worked at home turns vague. An identity that felt confident reads as generic. The sales cycle stretches while buyers work out who you are. Most companies respond by translating their materials. Translation is not the problem. Legibility is.

What changes

The brand arrives already legible to the new market.

  • One position, expressed for each market's buyers and buying triggers
  • Proof points chosen for what the new market trusts
  • An identity system local teams and partners can reproduce correctly
  • A website and channel plan built for how buyers there search and decide
  • A sales story your new country team can tell without you

Where we work

Four markets. Four different first impressions.

01

Nigeria

Our base, in Abuja. For international companies entering Nigeria, the brand has to establish credibility and permanence quickly, in a market where trust travels by referral and buyers check who stands behind a name.

02

United Kingdom

For African and international companies entering the UK, the brand competes on clarity in a mature, crowded market, where buyers compare you with established incumbents within seconds.

03

United States

A market this size rewards a sharper position, not a broader one. The brand needs one clear category and one clear buyer, or it disappears.

04

Across Africa

Expanding country by country, one position has to hold across different buyers, languages and channels, and be run from one architecture.

How the Brand Growth OS™ applies

Four phases, pointed at one problem.

Phase 01

Clarify™

Market and competitor analysis for the territory you are entering, the buyer there, and the positioning that wins against local alternatives.

Phase 02

Construct™

An identity system and standards your local team, agencies and partners can reproduce without you in the room.

Phase 03

Connect™

The route a buyer in the new market takes, the website and channels that carry it, and a content cadence that builds recognition.

Phase 04

Convert™

The offer, sales collateral and proof library for the new market, plus the reporting loop that tells you what's working.

Questions

Asked before every engagement.

When should brand work start for a new market?

Before launch, ideally while the market entry plan is being written. Positioning decisions shape pricing, partners and hiring. Starting after launch means rebuilding assets that are already in market.

Do we need a different brand for each market?

Usually not. You need one position expressed per market. Separate brands per country multiply cost and split equity. The exceptions are decided in Clarify, with evidence.

Can you work with our local team or agency?

Yes. Construct produces standards built for exactly that, so people who were not in the room can reproduce the brand correctly.

Which markets do you work in?

We work across Nigeria, the United Kingdom and the United States, and with companies expanding across African markets.
